The British Breast Group is made up of individuals actively engaged in the study of breast disease. The general aim of the group is to promote research into the understanding and prevention of breast cancer through sharing of information and supporting clinical trials which will benefit patients and the NHS. The membership to the group is by invitation only and members must be prominent figures in the field of breast cancer, and hold substantive posts within the UK.

The Group meet twice a year usually on the last Friday in January and last Thursday in June. The venue is carefully selected with adequate parking and easy access. The scientific programme, for the meeting, is drawn-up by the Programme Committee which is led by Prof Alan Ashworth from the Breakthrough Tony Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre.
